The Bayerischer Hof has been a premier destination for celebrities, royalty, and guests of state since it opened its doors in 1841. This 5-star hotel is in a prime location in Munich, only blocks from Maximilianstraße, the city’s upscale shopping street.
Bayerischer Hof features luxurious accommodations, six bars, and five restaurants, but its crown jewel is its wellness area. Designed by Andrée Putman, Blue Spa is an oasis of calm in the midst of city life. From its chic charcoal tile and ball chain curtains to the muted lighting and marble accents, the soothing aesthetic of the wellness area is a draw for members and hotel guests alike.
Blue Spa is housed on the top floors of Bayerischer Hof and its outdoor lounge area offers a panoramic view over the city’s rooftops. Nearby are the iconic towers of Frauenkirche and the spires of the Rathaus, two of the top attractions in Munich. On a clear day, you can see the Alps in the distance. Rolled towels sit on lounge chairs topped with inviting cushions, and patio umbrellas stand by, ready to provide shade.
The Blue Spa Experience
Just inside the outdoor lounge area is an infinity pool covered by a retractable glass roof that is opened when the weather is nice. And when there is a chill in the air, an open fireplace provides warmth to those who wish to sit poolside and order a beverage or a bite to eat from a menu featuring gourmet cuisine.
Perched above the pool area is a world-class fitness facility designed with input from Ralf Möller, a German actor and former bodybuilder. State-of-the-art equipment fills the mirror-lined room and provides guests with cardiovascular and strength-training. Personal training sessions are available and can be tailored to your fitness needs.
After an invigorating workout or swim in the pool, guests can treat themselves to a massage or beauty treatment package. Relaxing massage packages include refreshments that complement the experience and use of a terry cloth robe and slippers emblazoned with the spa’s logo.
Beauty treatments range from cleansing facials and makeup consultations to cryotherapy and sea salt body peels. An exclusive in-house salon offers chic cuts and colour care for discerning clients.
Exceptional Customer Experience
Additional options for pure relaxation include quiet areas with calming illumination, a modern solarium, and saunas set at temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees. Separate ladies’ and gentlemen’s areas feature showers with products from Noir and The White Company. Spacious lockers are opened with keys issued upon your arrival at the spa’s check-in desk and include a safe to house your valuables while you enjoy your day of wellness and relaxation.
Truly exceptional customer service is a trademark of Blue Spa. From your arrival at the check-in desk to your departure through the Blue Spa Bar and Lounge, one of the top dining experiences in Munich, it is clearly a priority of the staff to provide you with a luxurious experience.
